The Appellate Practice section of the OBA met on several occasions this year.All meetings wereheld viavideo-teleconferencing betweenOklahoma CityandTulsa. In February, Matt Free reviewed the 2007 opinions of the Oklahoma Supreme Court for the section. In April, Patrick Sweeney discussed the Oklahoma Legal Research System and how to use its various search features. In July, Judge John Fischer reflected on his experiences as a judge on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals. Thesection will be meeting in Octoberfor a discussion regarding the proposed amendments to the Oklahoma Supreme Court Rules. The section also plans to have its annual meetingin conjunction with the OBA annual meeting, where officers will be elected.
