The OBA Insurance Law Section held its spring meeting on April 28, 2008 at the Cherokee Casino Resort in Catoosa, Oklahoma. J. Steven Clark, former Arkansas Attorney General, presented a three-hour ethics CLE for approximately 50 section members who attended. Many members remarked that it was the best ethics CLE that they had ever attended. After lunch, some members participated in a golf outing on the Cherokee Hills Golf Course.

On Sept. 30, 2008, the OBA Insurance Law Section held its fall meeting at Gaillardia Country Club in Edmond. The meeting featured a three-hour CLE program by Jeff Gelona on the 4 X 4 of proper claims handling. Approximately 60 section members attended the meeting. The 2009 officers elected for the section were Jon Starr, Chairperson, Ryan Harper, Vice Chairperson, Debbie Self, Secretary, and Daniel Monty Delluomo, Treasurer. After lunch, some members participated in a golf outing on the Gaillardia Country Club Course.
